Keyphrase density
Keyphrase density is optimal (0.5%-2.5%)
What this check looks at
Optia measures how often your target keyword appears relative to total word count, flagging densities outside 0.5%–2.5%.
Why it matters
Too few mentions and the page may never be seen as being about the topic; too many reads as keyword stuffing, which hurts both rankings and readability. The healthy band is wide — this check catches the extremes, not fine tuning.
How to fix it
- Under 0.5%: add the keyword to a few natural spots — the introduction, one heading, image alt text.
- Over 2.5%: replace repeats with pronouns, synonyms, or related phrases.
- Write for the reader first; density should be a side effect of covering the topic well.
