What this check looks at
Optia counts the words in the page's main content and flags pages that fall below the threshold for their page type.
Why it matters
Thin pages struggle to demonstrate expertise or answer a query fully, and are more likely to be treated as low-value. Substantial content earns more internal-link opportunities, more long-tail matches, and more time on page.
How to fix it
- Cover the topic completely: answer the obvious follow-up questions on the same page.
- Add substance, not padding — examples, data, steps, and FAQs beat restating the same point.
- If a page can't sustain enough depth on its own, merge it into a stronger related page and redirect.
